Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport.
Upon the arrival at Entebbe International Airport, the representatives from Prime Tours Uganda will be there to welcome you. You will then transfer to Imperial Resort Entebbe for breakfast and refreshment. Embark on a 310km journey to Murchison Falls National Park which takes around 6hours driving from Kampala to Masindi via Gulu. Make a stopover in Nakasongola city for lunch at WamRelax restaurant/Tesus restaurant.
After your lunch, visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary located along this route. You will be guided by a game ranger to see the endangered white rhinos which are conserved in this place. Thereafter continue with the journey and stop at Karuma falls. These falls pose a spectacular view that one wouldn’t miss. The troops of baboons that come at the road side gazing at passing vehicles are quite interesting.
Proceed to Murchison Falls National Park and drive through to the lodge. Relax and refresh before you go for a guided nature walk. Dinner and overnight stay Paraa Safari Lodge/Fort Murchison lodge/Murchison safari lodge
Day 2: Game drive
Take your early morning breakfast. Head for the early morning game drive through the winding roads of the park is often quite rewarding. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, Jackson’s heart beast, kobs, baboons to name but a few. Return to the lodge for lunch and relax a bit.
In the early evening, go for evening boat cruise to the Albertine Delta. Expect to see schools of hippos swimming in the water, the Nile crocodiles busking at the river side and aquatic birds at the river banks. Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park.
Take your early morning breakfast. Check out and Proceed to Kibale National Park with a lunch stopover in Masaka town at Tropic Inn/Vitamin Bar/Cafe Frikadellen. Continue and have a stopover in Fort portal to visit the Omukama’s palace where lives the youngest crown king. Continue with journey en route Kibale National Park. You will have a stopover at Lake Nyabikere for photos of the panoramic view. Dinner and overnight stay Primate Lodge/Bigodi community lodge/Kibale safari lodge.
Day 4: Chimpanzee habituation experience
Have your morning breakfast, head for Chimpanzee habituation experience in the Park at Kanyanchu which is well habituated, with the result that visitors can often approach to within a few metres of them. Have your packed lunch in the forest. After your lunch, proceed in the forest for chimpanzee tracking, enjoy the whole day with these apes while taking photos with them for your memories. Return at the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay Primate Lodge/Bigodi community lodge/Kibale safari lodge.
Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After your morning breakfast, head to Bigodi village for guided swamp walk in Magombe swamp. This is a birder’s haven as it is endowed with numerous bird species like the Great Blue Turaco, Green breasted Pitta, African Pitta, Yellow rumped tinker bird, Crowned eagle, Yellow Spotted nicator. Expect to also see at least two or three types of primates most probably the red-tailed monkey and the grey-cheeked mangabey. Return to the lodge for lunch and check out.
In the afternoon, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a Safari drive in Kasenyi plains. You will be amazed that chances of spotting lions in this area are really high. Dinner and overnight stay Mweya Safari Lodge/Irungu forest safari lodge/Engiri game lodge.
Day 6: Tree climbing lions and Boat cruise
Take your morning breakfast. Head to Ishasha sector, the most remote area of the park, this is famous for the tree climbing lions. The swamp walk in this area too can’t be left out. It is endowed with numerous species of birds making it a prime birding destination. Among these are the rare Shoe bill Stock, Collared pratincole, Palm-nut vuture, Swamp flycatcher. You will also see large herds of elephants and buffalos in the savannah grasslands.
Have lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, go on for the pre-arranged boat cruise on Kazinga channel found between two giant lakes that are Lake Edward and Lake George. This is home one of the largest population of hippos in the world. Enjoy your boat trip as you also sight some animals come to water at the banks. Dinner and overnight stay Mweya Safari Lodge/Irungu forest safari lodge/Engiri game lodge.
Day 7: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Take your morning breakfast.visit the crater lakes and enjoy the beautiful sceneries. turn back at the lodge and check out.
Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, stopover at Mbarara town for lunch at Café Havana/Agip motel/Shaheen restaurant. Proceed to Lake Mburo National Park and check in at the lodge. In the evening go for horse safari and this is the only place where horse safaris are done in a national park in Uganda. Dinner and overnight stay Mihingo lodge/Mburo Safari lodge/Eagle Nest camp.
Day 8: Birding and Quad biking
Enjoy your morning breakfast, and thereafter go for bird watching to the forest for bird watching and here you see amazing bird species such shoe bill stork, white-winged warbler, crested francolin among others. Return back to the lodge and enjoy your lunch.
In the afternoon, go for a quad biking, while on quad biking in the park which is a home of wide range of wildlife species, expect to encounter species such as zebra, cape buffaloes, impala, elands, group of waterbucks, topis, warthogs, baboons, flocks of egrets across the lake among others. Dinner and overnight stay Mihingo lodge/Mburo Safari lodge/Eagle Nest camp.
Day 9: Depart to Kampala
After your early morning breakfast, visit Igongo Cultural Site to know about the traditions of the Banyankole people. Embark on the journey back to Kampala, a stopover for lunch in Masaka town at Café Frikadellen/Tropic Inn/Vitamin Bar. You will have a brief stopover at equator for photos and buying souvenirs. Proceed with the journey, and you will be dropped at choice location in Kampala or at the airport for an evening flight.
