6 DAYS UGANDA PRIMATE SAFARI
This 6 days Uganda Primate safari takes you to Uganda’s celebrated national parks; Mgahinga Gorilla National park which is home to gorillas and the golden monkeys and many more primates. Kibale Forest National park inhabits the chimpanzees, and in the above parks so you get to learn of different tree plant and bird species, you’ll even have a chance to see forest elephants.

Day 1: Drive to Mgahinga
After your early morning breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and transfer to south western Uganda. Stopover at the equator for water experiment, take some pictures standing in two hemispheres at the same time. Later continue with a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch at Agip motel/Cafe Havana/Shaheen restaurant, you will then continue to Kisoro and then to Mgahinga Gorilla National park, you will check in for dinner and overnight stay Mount Gahinga lodge/Travelers Rest Hotel/Migano hotel
Day 2: Hiking and Golden monkey trekking
Take your early morning breakfast. Go hike Mgahinga deep in the forest with your packed lunch. During the hike, you will encounter the endangered golden monkeys popularly known as the little primates. Hike up into the bamboo vegetation where they like to hangout and live. When you find these endangered species take pictures and videos, and have your packed lunch in the wild. Later return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay Mount Gahinga lodge/Travelers Rest Hotel Migano hotel.
Day 3: Gorilla trekking
After breakfast, go deep in the Mgahinga forest for gorilla trekking. A well-trained ranger will make the way in the forest in search of a Gorilla family, the trek is pretty strenuous but highly rewarding. Have your packed lunch and proceed in the afternoon with the gorilla trekking experience. Retire in the evening at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay Mount Gahinga lodge/Travelers Rest Hotel Migano hotel.
Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National park
Have your early morning breakfast. Drive to Kibale national park and upon reaching the park, you will check in at the lodge and have your lunch. In the afternoon, you will have a swampy walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary, look out for monkeys like black and white colobus monkeys, L’Hoest monkey, vervet monkey, blue monkey, grey cheeked mangabeys, birds like dusky crimson wing, black-capped apalis, blue-headed sunbird, collare apalis, among others and butterflies. Retire in the evening at the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay Primate lodge/Bigodi Community lodge/Kibale safari lodge.
Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking
After your early morning breakfast, assemble at the park headquarters for the chimpanzee trek. Kibale Escorted by a well-trained guide and ranger you will go through the rich tropical rain-forest of Kibale as you explore the rich biodiversity in the area. Trek for the chimpanzees in this tropical rain-forest, these delightful primates are a great delight to watch as they play in the fruiting tress. You will have your packed lunch into the forest, and then continue with the trekking. Later retire at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay Primate lodge/Bigodi Community lodge/Kibale safari lodge.
Day 6: Departure
Enjoy your early morning breakfast. Visit the Nyakasura hills also famous for the Mabere ganyinamwiru in the local language (scientifically known as the stalactites and stalagmites, the place poses a rich cultural history of the Batooro. Or you may visit the Crater Lake area and hike all the way to the top of the world which offers a spectacular and rewarding view. Later proceed to Fort portal town for lunch at Dutchess/Gardens restaurant. embark on the journey back to Kampala, you will be dropped at the location of your choice or Entebbe Airport for your flight.
