6 DAYS GORILLAS AND RAFTING SAFARI
In Uganda Mountain Gorillas are found in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. In these areas tracking takes place at 5 locations Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga, Nkuringo in BINP and Ntebeko in MGNP. All locations combined give a total of over 18 Gorilla groups, however the permit number are limited because only 8 people are allowed to visit a gorilla family per day for only one hour.

Day 1: Transfer to Jinja
You will be received by our company guide on your arrival at Entebbe Airport. Transfer to hotel in Kampala to refresh, relax and lunch at Speke hotel/ Avesta hotel/Rochester hotel.
Embark on the journey to Jinja which is approximately 81km and this takes around 2hours driving from Kampala. Jinja is a small colonial town in Uganda where rafting trips can be taken. Along the way you will pass through Mabira forest which is one of the tropical rain forests in Uganda, enjoy the fresh breeze as you traverse this beautiful forest. Visit Bujagali at the source of the Nile, you will be amazed by the spectacular view of the powerful waterfalls that cast a thunderous noise. Day 2: White water rafting
Have your morning breakfast. Enjoy a full day rafting experience on the River Nile. The trip on the water begins slowly and the first few kilometres give the raft guides an opportunity to train their crews fully on all aspects of Nile rafting. The river becomes much more adventures at Bujagali Falls and one major rapid follows swiftly after another for most of the morning. Once the rafts enter Wild waters Reserve there is more time between the rough water though the rapids become larger and more spectacular. At Itanda the Nile is too powerful for the rafts and so the rafts are taken around the top by land. Have your packed lunch and after proceed with the white water rafting.
Safety is prioritised and all the rafters are provided with a helmet and high buoyancy life jacket specially designed to bring you to the surface and allow you to swim to safety through any of the rapids. A communal water‐tight case is carried in the raft for sun‐cream and medical essentials. First aid supplies are also carried on board the raft. Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Wake up very early in the morning and take your breakfast. Almost the entire day will be spent travelling from Jinja to Kampala city from where you will proceed to south western Uganda, Kisoro district which is approximately 484km and this takes around 8 to 10hours driving to Bwindi Impenetrable national park.
Brief stopovers will be made along the way for lunch and for refreshment. Make a stopover at the Uganda Equator for taking photos shopping. Have another stopover in Mbarara for lunch at Agip motel/Shaheen restaurant/Café Havana. Proceed to the park and check in at the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay Buhoma lodge/Silver back lodge/Bwindi Gorilla Mist Camp.
Day 4: Gorilla tracking.
Have your early morning breakfast at 7:00am; after head to Nshongi camp the home for gorilla tracking in Rushaga. You will be briefed before you embark on the adventurous Gorilla tracking experience. Have packed lunch and continue with the gorilla trek. Dinner and overnight stay Buhoma lodge/Silver back lodge/Bwindi Gorilla Mist Camp.
Day 5: The Batwa trail experience.
After the morning breakfast, head for the Batwa trail experience. The Batwa pygmies are believed to have been the first inhabitants of Bwindi forest. And they have such a rich cultural background that is quite interesting. You be guided by Batwa into the forest and get to know the different activities they used to do like piking fruits, hunting, collecting herbs and offering sacrifices. Later on you will be entertained by Batwa in their cultural performances of songs and dances. Turn back at your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will go for a community walk through the amazing Kisoro town. Retire in the evening and go back at the lodge for relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay Buhoma lodge/Silver back lodge/Bwindi Gorilla Mist Camp.
Day 6: Depart to Kampala.
Enjoy the morning and after check out of the lodge and then embark on the journey back to Kampala with a lunch stopover in Mbarara for lunch at Agip motel/Shaheen restaurant/Café Havana. Reach Kampala in the evening.
