4 DAYS SSESE ISLANDS TOUR
The Ssese Islands are an archipelago of eighty-four Islands in the north-western part of Lake Victoria in Uganda. The Islands are coterminous with the Kalangala District in southern Central Uganda, which does not have any territory on mainland Uganda. The Islands occupy the north-western corner of Lake Victoria, the second-largest freshwater lake in the world. The largest Island in the archipelago is called Bugala Island and its largest town, called Kalangala.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport
Upon the arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by our company representatives who will transfer you to Kampala to refresh. Start the journey from Kampala towards Masaka district. Stop over at the equator to take photos and buy some local crafts.
Continue to a village called Nyendo and have lunch at Kevin restaurant/Bulemeezi Bkessed Foods/banya restaurant and from here you will make your way to Kalangala. From here you will board a ferry from Bukakata landing site that will take you to Bugala Island, the largest and most frequented of the 84 Islands that make up the archipelago in the northwest of Lake Victoria. Check in at hotel where you will have dinner and overnight Brovad Sands Lodge/Mirembe Resort Beach Hotel/Panorama cottages.
Day 2: Boat cruise and Community walk
Arise to the beautiful sight of the sun rising over the magnificent lake and beach covered in sand. Take your morning breakfast. Have a cruise on the lake in the motor boat. You can also do some fishing of Nile perch and tilapia common in this lake.
Have a sumptuous lunch at the restaurant in the hotel. Enjoy fruits like mangoes, bananas, papaya, watermelons, pineapples and jack fruits.
In the evening you will have a community walk and interact with locals who live on this Island. Dinner and overnight stay Brovad Sands Lodge/Mirembe Resort Beach Hotel/Panorama cottages.
Day 3: Nature walk and Bicycle ride
Have breakfast at 8:00am. You will have a nature walk in Lutoboka Central Forest Reserve. This is truly a birders’ paradise with over 300 bird species. The forest is home to several primates like monkeys and other wild animals like Sitatunga antelops. Have your lunch at the hotel. You will then have a bicycle ride through the large palm oil plantations on this island.
In the evening you will get back to the lodge and relax on the beach as you view the beautiful sun set, and later on you will enjoy beach camp fire. Dinner and overnight stay Brovad Sands Lodge/Mirembe Resort Beach Hotel/Panorama cottages.
Day 4: Departure
Enjoy your early morning breakfast and check out from the lodge. Proceed to Lutoboka landing site and at 8:00am get aboard the ferry for the 3 hour journey to Nakiwogo landing site. Have lunch in Nakiwogo at 4 points bar & Restaurant Ltd/Seasons restaurant/The Rolex Guy restaurant Entebbe. From here you will be driven to the Airport to catch up with your flight.
