3 DAYS QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK SAFARI
Queen Elizabeth spans the equator line; monuments on either side of the road mark the exact spot where it crosses latitude 00. The Katwe explosion craters mark the park’s highest point at 1,350m above sea level, while the lowest point is at 910m, at Lake Edward. Queen Elizabeth National Park is understandably Uganda’s most popular tourist destination, with over 95 species of mammals. The park’s diverse ecosystem, which include sprawling savanna, shady, humid forests, sparkling lakes and fertile wetlands, make it the ideal habitat for classic big game, ten primate species including Chimpanzee and over 600 species of birds.

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After your early morning breakfast, the guides will pick you from your hotel in Kampala and drive you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will make a few stops at the Equator to take some photographs and in Mbarara town at Agip Motel/Cafe Havana/Shaheen restaurant for lunch. You will continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park as you marvel at the breathtaking scenery, tea plantations, the open grasslands, long horned –Ankole Cattle, the woodlands and the Rift Valley Escarpment.
At the arrival in the park, check in at the lodge and have a guided nature walk in the evening. Nature walks are one of the most active ways to explore the landscapes and wildlife of Queen Elizabeth. Locations include the shady Maramagambo forest, Mweya Peninsula with its scenic views; and Ishasha River, where you may spot a variety of forest and savanna species as well as having a unique opportunity to get extremely close to hippos on foot. Dinner and overnight stay Mweya Safari Lodge/Irungu forest safari lodge/Engiri game lodge.
Day 2: Game drive and Boat cruise
Start the day with your morning breakfast before embarking on a game drive along the Queen’s Mile plus the Kasenyi trail. On this trail you will see elephants, water bucks, lions, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs plus warthogs in addition to several birds. Return for lunch at the lodge.
In the afternoon, enjoy a 2 hours boat ride on the Kazinga Channel where you will encounter Buffaloes, Elephants, Hippos, kobs plus warthogs among others. This ride will also enable you to see an array of birds, Dinner and overnight stay Mweya Safari Lodge/Irungu forest safari lodge/Engiri game lodge.
Day 3: Departure
With wonderful memories of the previous day, you will have your early morning breakfast. Proceed for a primate walk in Kyambura gorge the valley of apes. Our closest cousin, the chimpanzee, shares at least 94% of its DNA with humans. Sociable, communicative and intelligent, one of the chimp’s most astonishing traits is the ability to use tools such as rocks for smashing nuts, empty pods for scooping water and sticks for drawing termites from their nests. Return to the lodge for lunch and check out.
Depart to Kampala and you will be dropped at the location of your choice or Entebbe Airport for your flight.
