3 DAYS LAKE MBURO AND QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARKS SAFARI
Lake Mburo National Park is the smallest Savannah national park with a beautiful scenic landscape, located near Kampala the capital city of Uganda in Western Uganda estimating 240km and in the driving hours, it takes 4 hour drive from Kampala to its main destination. It is a home to variety of wild animals and over 350 species of birds.
Queen Elizabeth National Park is located in the western Uganda in Kasese and it is approximately to 410km that takes around 8 hours from Kampala. The Park has a variety of wildlife and has the most popular Savannah reserve. The variety of habitats such as the Savannah grassland, forests, lakes and wetlands, this provides a setting of an extensive of a large mammals and primates. Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Upon the arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be welcomed by our company representatives who will transfer you to Kampala for where you will start the journey Lake Mburo National Park.
Stopover at the equator for taking photos and buying crafts you may want to have as you tour. Lunch in Masaka town at Tropic Inn/Vitamin Bar/Café Frikadellen
Proceed to the park located about 30km away from Mbarara town. Check in at the and then go for an evening game drive; expect to see zebras, hippos, bushbucks, hedgehogs, African buffalo, common eland, impala among others. Dinner and overnight stay Mihingo lodge/Mburo Safari lodge/Eagle Nest camp.
Day 2: Forest walk and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Have your breakfast at 8:00am, and after start your forest walks, Lake Mburo national park nature walks takes you through the Rubanga forest and in this forest, walkers are provided with bird sightings. In this walk one of the animals one should expect to spot are the zebras, impalas, eland, crocodile, hippopotamus, over 350 species of birds, giraffes and many more.
After the forest walk, checkout of the lodge and then start your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Proceed via Bushenyi to Kasese where the park is located. Check in and have lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, proceed to kyambura gorge for chimpanzee tracking. The trek will lead you into the nearby Maramagambo forest. Look out for other primates like black and white colobus monkey among others. Dinner and overnight stay Kyambura gorge lodge/Forest Hog Safari lodge/Tembo Safari lodge.
Day 3: Boat cruise and Departure.
After your morning breakfast go for a morning boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. This connects Lake Edward and Lake George. It is a habitat for an extremely large population of hippos. Enjoy your launch cruise as you spot other games come to water by the banks. After the boat cruise, check out of the lodge, proceed to the crater lakes of Queen Elizabeth Park. You will be stunned by the astonishing view of these small yet spectacular lakes.
From there, proceed to Kampala via Fort portal with a lunch stopover in Mbarara town at Café Havana/Agip motel/Shaheen restaurant. You will be dropped at choice location in the city or at the Airport for an evening flight.
